Snowmobile trip to Island Park

Last Thursday we went on a trip with Travis "Second Family" The Willis (For those of you who don't know who they are, Travis lived with them for a year in high school and their son Ryan Willis is one of Travis best friends) up to Island park for a snowmobile weekend!! it was a BLAST!!! Man it was so much fun and the weather so perfect!!
Unfortunately about 5 miles away from our cabin on the first day, the truck that Scott and Gayle, (Ryan's mom and dad) were driving hit some black ice and their car lost control and they slammed into the 5 foot snow pile on the side of the road. Thankfully no one was hurt, the truck got a little dinged up from the trailer swinging around and hitting both sides of the truck and denting it. But luckily insurance would cover it all! We finally got to the cabin and it was amazing!! it was huge and just so nice! it even had a grill and hot tub on the deck!
Our first day out on the snowmobiles we went on a 4 hour drive!!! man it was so fun and i didn't become freezing till the last hour... :) hahah but we drove all around and went up into Wyoming and went all the way up to Two Tops. I have never seen anything so AMAZING having to do with snow than this view at the top of Two Tops. It was like being at Goblin Valley but instead of the weird red rock formations it was GIANT white snow monsters.... they were trees but you couldn't see any tree... just tons of snow covering those trees. i sadly didn't bring my camera with me and if i had i dunno if i would have been able to take pictures, it was FREEZING up there and the wind was blowing so hard. so i stole some pics people took off google! so you could at least get an idea of what i saw!! it was amazing!
We got back to the cabin had some delicious chili and then got into the hot tub to warm ourselves back up!
Day 2 out on the snowmobiles we drove another 4 hour drive up to the upper Mesa Falls in Idaho it was also very beautiful there too, i did bring my camera for that one, unfortunately i didn't think it was as amazing and beautiful as the sight id seen the day before, but non the less still beautiful! I drove the snowmobile the whole way back to the cabin and that was awesome, the thing is so big and heavy it was kinda hard to steer and control especially with Travis sitting on the back but i managed and got us back safely :) piece of cake!
That night the Willis decided to take us all into West Yellowstone and take us to eat at the Three Bears restaurant. There i had my first taste of Bison. it was pretty good a little chewy but very tasty.
All in all we had a BLAST. We got lots of snowmobiling in and hot tub time, it was the perfect winter get away! Thank you Willis family for inviting us along!! We traveled back home with no problems at all. Sadly i didn't take too many pictures because i was having so much fun i often forgot my camera and two because it was so cold i didn't wanna take off my gloves to snap a picture. but here are a few i did take, and some of Two Tops i stole off Google :) enjoy!

P.S. Rue was not happy that we left her alone for 4 days. When we got home she was so mad she was telling us off for sure! She sounded hoarse as if she had been meowing for the whole 4 days. But she quickly got over it and cuddled with us all night. :) silly kitty

HAIR CUT!!

OK so i finally did it, i kept thinking to myself, if I'm wanting to cut my hair so bad and keep thinking about it then i need to just do it!!! its like with shoes, if you keep coming back and looking at them over and over you need to just buy them! So i cut my hair! yay! its a bit different than last time but i love it! i haven't played around with it just yet but i soon will :) i am still planning on dying it darker again with the black cherry. I did take some pictures they are a little posed and goofy but it will show you my hair. so here you go with some pictures. Oh and yes i know that one side is longer... its supposed to be that way, more stylish its an A symmetrical A line

Interested in your opinions

OK so i have been thinking about this alot! And i want to cut my hair back into the short A-line!!! i have had long hair pretty much my whole life and i loved it when i got it cut! it just seemed to grow out so fast!!! So i made an appointment for Monday morning to have it cut. I can cancel if i decide to back out, so i want to hear your opinions!!! Did you like my hair short and think i should go for it again! OR did you love it long and think it looked better long!... I'm just curious to see what you think :) please leave me your opinion

New Rug

So our new rug came, and sadly it isn't big enough to cover up the whole hopscotch but it does cover most of it... so sadly you still see a little bit of the hopscotch on either ends of the rug but it looks so much better than it did. And the rug is so soft :) i love it Trav loves it and even Rue loves it!

We also got Rue a little scratch post so that she isnt so tempted to scratch our couches... boy does it work... she doesnt even use her claws on our couches and i love it! this little post was only about $35 at Wal-Mart. And it goes all the way to the ceiling!!! its awesome and she loves it!

me and Trav actually made a cat scratching post because all the ones we really liked that were really cool were super expensive... i mean in the hundreds of dollars. So we made on it took us 4 hours Trav did most of it and i helped a bunch but when the finished product was done... it just wasnt what we had hoped for... so thats why we were excited about the simple one from Wal-Mart. we did keep the one we made we just moved it into her room/spare bedroom so that its out of the way and out of sight. hahah

Rue also loves our bathroom sink, the tub, bubbles and windows... big shockers i know... she is just so darn cute with the sink... we will turn the water on just a little so it has a solid stream of water and she will try and attack it and then drink it. she also will stick her whole head under the water drip and not even notice until i come to dry her off.

i would also just like to add that i have been loving the Spring like weather the past few days it is wonderful and i wish it was permanent... who knows we shall see. :)

2010 events

So i know im a little late, but i wanted to list a few of the big things that happened in mine and Trav's lives in 2010. Its amazing that after almost 2 years of marriage im still falling more and more in love with my amazing husband. I never knew that you could keep falling and falling in love with someone. Its an amazing feeling.

Anyways some things happened in 2010, in no particular order:

*We bought a new car

*Had 2 nephews and 1 niece born

*Trav became an RC Willey Manager

*i found out i was pregnant

*i miscarried 2 weeks later

*We gave our puppy Pebbles away :(
* We moved into a 3 bed apartment

*Got an adorable kitty

*Hiked the Y for Travs first time

* Celebrated our 1 year anniversary

*We went to Bear lake

*We went to Lake Powell

*My good friend Leah got married

*i got a job at Hobby Lobby

*Trav turned 23 and i turned 21

Its truly amazing to me that a year has already past... so much has happened and there is more to come. im so excited to experience the events of 2011, im hoping for the best. :)

Short post.

Travis is back in school and i miss spending all morning with him. He now leaves super early to go to school and then goes straight to work from there and doesn't get home till around 9:30ish. its hard but it needs to be done, it will all be worth it once he graduates. I am just super selfish when it comes to my Travis. But what wife isn't right? :)

Well i just wanted to get on and say that Toris' boyfriend Blu took Bellatrix and she is doing good with him he says. Rue is happy to not be bullied all the time and loves all the attention, she occasionally gets sad and looks for the other cat but then comes and snuggles with me. :)

I wanted to also post all the big things that happened last year, im a little late i know. But im not actually on my computer, so i don't have all my pictures so that will be the next post :)

Im excited for this new year of 2011, im hoping that great things are in store for us. Keeping our fingers crossed of course! so until next time!!! :)

Rue....

So after much thought and about a week or so with my new little angel of a kitty we decided to call her Rue. We got the name from Hunger Games, all you fans of the books hope you appreciate her name as much as i do. And also because she pounces like a kangaroo when you move your feet under the covers in bed. She is so fun to have, and like any kinda pet or child she does have her devil days where she does exactly what i say not to do right after i say it.... but non the less she is adorable and i love her to death!

We recently went up to Kaysville to pick up a black and gray tabby that looks exactly like her so that Rue could have a friend. And she was free. Well now we know why she was free.... she is mean to our little Rue... and we dont like that... we are giving her a few more days or so to show she can be nice to our little angel, other wise she is gone.

Other than that not too much is going on right now.

I did get a new bed spread for my birthday which i love, i need to get some new sheets but those will come later. And we also got a big rug to cover up the stupid hopscotch. ( the family who lived her before us used ductape to make a hopscotch for their kids on the carpet, the sticky stuff wont come off.... so we have a permanent hopscotch on our living room floor....) we dont have the rug yet but we will get it Monday and ill be sure to post picks of it.

I also promise to update my blog more frequently :) Anyone who wants a beautiful black and grey tabby female who is already spayed let us know. she is definitely a one cat pet. We call her bellatrix hahah just cuz she is so mean to our Rue. but she really isnt too bad with people. i think the family we got her from were rough with her... they had little boys and im sure they tormented her. so she needs a loving home where she doesnt have to be mean to feel good.
